by Molly Whyte

I would not wear the dress
Because the gentle curve of my stomach
Seemed aggressive
Soft hips lit harshly
Legs not built for marching
Arms encased in sleeves
Always slightly too tight.
(Why, Zara?)
The next one was better
Skimmed over the right places
Or are those the wrong ones now?
Body trends are bewildering.
On days like this
I get tired from getting dressed.
